Should've really been ruled out for offside, good old Ruud with his trademark poacher's instincts, tapping in from a fierce shot from outside the box.

Wesley Sneijder 31'
Superb mid air volley from Sneijder, after Kuyt headed the ball back in the box from a precision long ball from Van Bronchorst, AND after an off-the-line clearance from Van Bronchorst himself at the opposite end. Counter attacking play at the highest order.

Giovanni Van Bronchorst 79'
Another swift counter attack after Van der Sar saved from an Andre Pirlo free kick, resulting in Van Bronchorst's surging run before being outnumbered, offered a pass to Kuyt who found some space ahead of him right outside Italy's box, tried a shot but was blocked by off-the-line Buffon before richocheting back to Kuyt who went to the side, crossed into the box and found Van Bronchorst unmarked to head in Netherland's third goal despite an attempted clearance from the defender on the line.
