damn, it's the last round of matches in this round robin stage of world cup, and i can't even stay up to watch all of it... especially france vs. togo!!! mother fucking school forcing people go school on saturdays... i do hope france go through though. and south korea too. asian teams in this world cup is too weak. at least one has to go through. after all, it's natural for an asian to support asia, right?

bah, putting football aside. i hope everyone knows what an mp3 file is. i bet all of you have at least 50 mp3s on your computer, and more than 3/4 of them are illegally downloaded. well, i'm not here to stop you from doing that, i do that too. i'm here to introduce to you a new audio format(actually not so new, i just discovered it recently), the lossless format. forget mp3. they're so lame. they sound so unnatural. that's because they're compressed so you get 5 mb of audio rather than 50-60 mb on an audio cd by sacrificing the quality of the original audio. they're a craze all over the bittorrent world. everyone's starting to distribute FLAC(Free Lossless Audio Coding) encoded audio files from audio cds instead of the traditional mp3 format. and i tell you, there's a lot of difference here. 1st of all, the biggest difference is the file sizes. a typical mp3 format audio file with 4 minutes of run time encoded at 192kbps would be around 6 mb. this is not a case for the lossless format. because of the variable bitrate used by lossless, you sometimes get around 30-40 mb for a 4 minute audio file, and sometimes you get less or more. though its size is significantly larger than an mp3 file, but the quality is unmatched. maybe at 1st you won't notice the difference, but when you listen to more and more lossless audio format files, then you listen back to a 128kbps mp3 file, the difference will be obvious. oh yeah, i have to mention that most FLAC encoded audio files are mostly consist of JPOP. hehe. try JPOP lah. i guarantee you, they're tons better than some crappy CPOP. or even KPOP. or whatever POP you can think of.

it's been a long time since i last talked about anime, haven't i? hisashiburi desu ne. haha. well, i'm still a big fan of the melancholy of haruhi suzumiya series, and it's still ongoing. currently chasing quite a few animes which are still ongoing. some of them are ouran high school host club, XXXHolic(no, not porn or hentai, it's actually quite good despite the name), tsubasa chronicle 2nd season, higurashi no naku koro ni(neh the ultra violent anime i talked about a few ages ago), I''s Pure, Aa!! Megami-sama 2nd season and etc. some animes i pia finish already since the start of my school term are Eureka Seven(love that ending!), Ai Yori Aoshi and Ai Yori Aoshi ~Enishi~. still quite a lot of completed animes that i have downloaded that i haven't watched yet. no time!!! karin, love hina, rozen maiden, rozen maiden traumend, gundam seed destiny(whooping 50 episodes), onegai sensei and onegai twins. so damn many leh. no time is like that liao lah. and so many things i have to catch up in my studies, ESPECIALLY physics lah. *cursing bio students*
