涼宮ハルヒの小説

Suzumiya Haruhi fever suddenly entered myself after watching the live performance DVD. And guess what? I watched the whole series, all 14 episodes of them, twice in two and a half days. And I finally, finally understand completely what Suzumiya Haruhi is all about. After that, I downloaded eight volumes of Suzumiya Haruhi's light novels. The anime mostly consist of the stories from volume 1 to volume 6 according to the timeline, but not all the materials in the novel was in the anime, so there's much reading to be done to cover them. Here are some of the cover illustrations of the novels.

My favourite volume, The Disappearance of Suzumiya Haruhi. Roughly this volume is about the mystery behind the sudden disappearance of Suzumiya Haruhi during the period between Dec 18 and Dec 20.

The volume with the famous "Live A Live" episode and "Asahina Mikuru's Adventure Episode 00" from the anime. "Live A Live" is the episode where Haruhi and the wicked guitarist Yuki play their awesome songs during the school festival. And the other one... basically the most popular episode of the whole anime series.

Volume one. The anime has all the things from this volume, so this was skipped by myself. Just for info, episode 2,3,5,10,13 and 14 are from this volume. Episode 14 where Kyon famously told "Ponytails turn me on" to Haruhi. And to add to that, Haruhi had a ponytail the very next day of school. Unforgettable.

The ever famous self introductory of Suzumiya Haruhi during the 1st day of high school. "Tada no ningen ni wa kyoumi arimasen. Uchuujin, miraijin, isekaijin, chounouryokusha ga itara, atashi no tokoro ni kinasai. Ijou!" And Kyon's expression after this introductory in the anime, GOLD.

The second season of the anime should, if I'm not mistaken, start after KyoAni is finished with Clannad this next spring. SO, with fingers crossed, lets hope that there would be a 24 or 26 episode long Suzumiya Haruhi fever waiting for us next spring!!! Ijou!
