Wii Japan Launch 2/12/2006

Tomorrow's the Wii's launching in Japan. As we all know, Japan is always famous for the long long lines queueing up when a new console is about to launch. Here are some pictures of the situation at Japan just now, and based on my rough Japanese translations, (maybe)it's located at the underground carpark of the famous Yodobashi Camera at Akihabara. Yes, more pictures of people queueing up. Now in an underground carpark. Images courtesy of 秋葉ブログ.

According to the website, there are over 600 people cramped up in here. 600人です。

oh god. i'd rather find the nearest Starbucks and sit down sipping my coffee than line up in here.

Here's Ishimaru GameOne, which is also at Akihabara.

(I think)It means the preorder limit for Wii has been reached and therefore ended. The number of units that are going to be sold on that day(tomorrow) are not confirmed. I have no idea what the last line meant. (what)ni(what)shi(what)gozaimasen. help me kim...

At this point I'm getting frustrated of reading the text in the blog(which is, mind you, in FULL JAPANESE). so enjoy the pretty pictures. these are all elsewhere around Akihabara.

Wii's gonna be big. In your face PS3. But i'm gonna get the Xbox 360 first because it's cheaper. And it has Gears of War. Don't know Gears of War? Shame on you. =)
